Hi guys! I made a material function a couple of months ago to overcome the issue of terrain textures visibly being tiled at a distance. It basically has multiple world-aligned texture nodes with different texture size inputs (could be done with standard texture samplers as well), and lerps between them depending on distance to the camera.

I find title of this video a bit misleading. It's more about dynamic UV tiling than texture scaling. What I would understand as scaling texture is setting LODs so certain textures change resolution on the go from (for example) 4K down to 512x512, depending on camera distance. That would actually be really useful tutorial.

The problem with Call of Duty's file size is that its unoptimized. Its graphics aren't nearly as good as other games with smaller file sizes and even though it has 4 modes they really shouldn't take up as much space as they do. You can see it with all the giant updates that change barely anything.
